The letter in a RAM part number is the ball size. Every part in a mount must use the same ball size. C size parts carry no letter, so RAM-201U is a C size arm and RAM-B-201U is the B size version.

The included diamond adapter contains the industry standard AMPS hole pattern that allows attachment to a variety of RAM mounts. Hardware included to attach the Tough-Wedge™ to the mount. The 1" diamond ball base is compatible with all RAM-B size single and double socket arms.
