The letter in a RAM part number is the ball size. Every part in a mount must use the same ball size. C size parts carry no letter, so RAM-201U is a C size arm and RAM-B-201U is the B size version.

Overview

The RAM® Tough-Mag™ base consists of a C size 1.5" diameter 2-hole AMPS pattern diamond ball base connected to a flat 88mm diameter magnetic base. The magnetic base contains two M4 threaded inserts to attach the included C size diamond base and is designed with a rubber exterior to prevent scratching the mounting surface. Attach any C size double socket arm and your desired holder to complete the magnetic mount.
